How do I choose a therapist?

Choosing the right therapist is a personal and important decision. Therefore I think it’s important for us to get to know each other. To do so, I offer a free initial phone or video consultation. During the free consultation I will have the opportunity to find out what is bringing you to therapy at this time. It's also a chance for you to ask me any questions  about the process of therapy and how I work with clients. Please allow a minimum of 15 minutes and up to 30 minutes for this free consultation.

I meet with clients regularly for weekly sessions. This allows us to get to know one another and develop a relationship. The consistency of regular meetings helps builds momentum and a chance to deepen into what is most important to you. Through the weekly meetings, insights are gained which can lead to more awareness and the ability to make behavioral changes. Occasionally clients come in more often during times of higher need. It is hard to put a definitive length to treatment, but it is something we will discuss together.

Please call me to discuss fees, as my rates vary for different services. I do offer a limited number of sliding scale fee slots to individuals and couples that would not otherwise be able to afford therapy. If those slot are filled or if for any reason I am unable to provide what you need, I will help you to find a therapist that offers what you are seeking.

I can provide monthly statements for you to submit to your insurance company. Please verify with your insurance that they cover out-of-network mental health services.

I offer both IN PERSON & ON LINE THERAPY:

My office for in person sessions is located at  

1030 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in in Kentfield CA. 

I see clients in person & on line Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

I see client on line on Thursdays from my home office.

Most of my clients live in the surrounding Bay Area (from Santa Rosa to Santa Cruz), yet my licenses allows me to serve people living in the entire state of California.  

On line sessions can be done via phone or through my secure video platform on ZOOM.
