Darshana and community I just want to check in and say THANK YOU! I am here and have been so enjoying the posts. It feels like a "SWEET TREAT" when my 7.5 week old daughter sleeps. It helps me feel connected to a community as I am in these very early days of navigating how to care for my daughter and take care of myself as well. My body has felt alot better since I cut out the white sugar these past 10 days. It has allowed me to give into my sleepiness and rest while Morgan sleeps. I have had many many other things I have wanted to share but am too tired to put the effort into saying more then this right now....just wanted to get my "voice" out here.

Alisun...this is a great idea! I would LOVE ideas for high protein breakfast...i feel like i'm a in a rut right now. I'm not sure if smoothies and oatmeal are too high in sugars for me right now.

Hi,

I wonder if we might start a thread on recipe ideas and cooking w/out sugar? I am trying to figure out how to sub out brown sugar in a recipe for BBQ tofu. Any ideas?

This has been great so far! Amazing to see how much has sugar in it!

Hi :) I am happy and excited to be a part of this! I am ready to omit processed sugar from my diet, including the sneaky stuff in various items. I appreciate this challenge being started and am looking forward to seeing how it all goes!

Hello all and thank you in advance for your support! I was planning to cleanse in January so the sugar free challenge aligns exactly with my intentions. Happy and healthy 2010 to all!

2009 was an extremely hard year for me physically, emotionally and mentally which all led to my eating habits. I am looking forward to learning how to decrease and/or eliminate my sugar addiction for a positive change in 2010. Having the online support is wonderful and I am also going to try and rally a few friends in Northern NJ for added support. Thanks Darsh for starting this!

I have already decided to make this winter break about taking care of my body, so I feel like this is a perfect opportunity! I want to boost my immune system and have more energy to do the things I love. I am also giving up alcohol...at least for the month of january, maybe longer! Thank you Darshana :)

My plans for this New Years Eve are to go to bed early as my husband and I are running a 5k early tomorrow morning. Because of the race, I have been forced to make healthy choices today and drink extra water. It's off to the races!!
